How To Design Your CV
If you have ever wondered how to design your CV, you should know that there are some sections that are necessary and others that are not. You might read this and think: “Sure that seems pretty straight forward”, but simply having the headings is not enough. You need the content to match and THAT is how you impress employers.

Personal Statement / Career Summary
This section is industry standard and MUST be included on your CV. While some employers might not require a career summary, it is always a good starting point to any CV. It is the first section of content, right after the personal details. This short summary should include industry buzzwords, eye-catching sentences and highlight your potential:

Grammar
English (Ireland) / English (UK) vs. English (US)
When writing your CV you need to remember who you are applying to and where you are. Note that the spelling is different for certain words e.g. colour vs. color or organisation vs. organization so be sure to check the content and change the language of the document. If applying to a local company, use the language of the country; if applying to a MNC find out where in the world the position is being advertised and edit accordingly.

2. Personal Information
Every CV sample should include some personal information, most importantly your name, address, email and contact number. Anything else should be omitted i.e. age, date of birth etc, unless otherwise stated. If you are younger than 18, you MUST include your date of birth.
